Why We’re Here

We are the dreamers. The rabble-rousers. The fabricators of character-driven stories. We are called to create worlds through stories and write screenplays. And if that’s why you’re here, welcome to the family.

We believe that everyone has a story within. Some feel the call and need to tell that story, but they don’t know how to get what’s inside out. They don’t know how to start that journey. Which is why we are here.

As screenwriters, storytelling has always been a part of our lives. FADE IN: to FADE OUT. are words that mean everything to us. It’s how the writing process starts and how it ends. These are the words we look forward to typing the most in any story we create.  FADE IN: means the beginning of a voyage into a new world, and that continues until FADE OUT. This is not just how we view screenwriting but our own adventures as well.

Our individual stories started with our own unique catalysts. Ours intersected at Colorado Film School. Years later, after venturing through different departments in the entertainment industry, we collaborated as hardworking script consultants, which led us to create this resource.

Because of our own journeys, we have a heart for mentoring and helping writers tell their own stories. We hope to be a resource to educate you on what it takes to be a screenwriter. To give you the tools to fill your toolbox and train you to become proficient in the screenwriting craft. We want to be a part of that journey and give you our expertise.

It’s a hard, unforgiving adventure that takes so much effort to trek, but it’s also beautiful, cathartic, and awe-inspiring.  All the blood, sweat, and tears it took to create your masterpiece is what life as a storyteller is like. It can be difficult and make you feel like you have failed, but if storytelling is in your soul, there is no other path for you.

We align on one thing: how to tell an engaging, genuine story that speaks to the audience. We welcome you on this journey to get you from FADE IN: to FADE OUT.
